How do house clearances work?

After discussing your requirements we will provide a quote, then can arrange a convenient date and time to carry out the work.

How much does it cost?

No two jobs are the same and we take three factors into account when calculating your quote: recycling costs, labour, and saleable items.

Recycling and waste disposal
As registered waste carriers, we are charged for waste disposal and sending items for recycling. Be very wary of anybody offering to clear your property for a cut-price as they may be illegally fly tipping your posessions.

Labour
We usually work in a team of two or three people and our labour costs cover the time we spend clearing the property and the time we spend afterwards sorting items, finding them a new home, or taking for recycling.

Saleable items
If the property contains good quality, saleable items we will deduct the value of these from the cost of the clearance.

You can get a quote online and we'll be in touch as soon as we can.

What if I don't live near the property?

If you don't live near Halifax and it isn't convenient for you to meet us at the property, we can meet with an estate agent, solicitor or neighbour to collect the keys for a viewing or to carry out the work.

No pressure and no obligation

House clearances often come as a result of bereavement and it can be a very difficult time with some tough decisions to make.

There will never be any pressure from us and we'll never push you into making any decisions on the spot.

We usually send you a quote via email or text message to give you time and space to consider it without feeling pressured to make a decision on the spot.
